What do I see in this photo? I see a morning cuppa tea being poured into a cup…
This photo by Toni Ludlow inspired my rhyme, MORNING CUPPA TEA
MORNING CUPPA TEA
Eergh! The alarm clock rang! Shouting me awake; shocking me from slumber For heaven’s sake! I hurl it flying across the bedroom floor The clock hits the door. There’s a clang and a clatter! Something in its works go Twang! Oh dear! what’s the matter? I’ve inflicted some harm— No cause for alarm (notice the pun here?) I prise my eyes open hoping to see He might’ve brewed some coffee (or tea) for me But, he’s still snoring. Humph, ‘tis not a problem, I do not need him, in his state of recumbent stasis At this unearthly hour I can use telekinesis At the height of my power (Believe it or not) I can move a teapot with my psychokinetic mind lift it up and pour tea into a cup so gentle, polite and refined Lesley Scoble, September 2023
NOTES Telekinesis: How to move objects with your mind 1. Start small when you are training to move objects with your mind. A matchstick, for example. 2. Clear your mind of all except the focus on your object. 3. Concentrate on how you want to move it. 4. Exclude every thought other than your purpose. Any doubt will destroy your endeavour. 5. Control your mind each day for ten minutes. The success of your total concentration can take weeks or months to achieve the desired result. More info on the art of Telekinesis can be found here
