Dragonera: a limerick

I wrote the limerick DRAGONERA in response to Melissa’s Fandango Flash Fiction Challenge.

Each week Melissa will ask bloggers to write a piece of flash fiction or a poem inspired by whatever image she grabs off the internet.

Dragonera

DRAGONERA

Dragonera is an island in Spain
Anyone who goes there is never seen again
My advice to you is
whatever you do is
Get away fast in a boat or a train

NOTE
DRAGONERA is an actual island outside the Port of Andraitx, on the south-west coast of Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands. I sailed and water-skied round it a few times and lived to tell the tale. There was a fast train out.

  5. Dragonera! I love it. Learn something new every day. I also researched trains over water because of you, and was stunned to find China has a high speed bullet train that travels over water and hits speeds up to 218mph.😱
