The poetry prompt posted by whimsygizmo in Quadrille #195 is to write a poem of just 44 words (not including the title) which has some literal form of the word touch in it. In response, I wrote my quadrille, THE HORSE.
Quadrille?
A quadrille poem is the creation of d’Verse Poets. It is a poem of just 44 words.
The Horse

The horse nuzzles for his touch,
Equine breath warms the cool air,
He does not ask for much,
Maybe a piece of apple or a lump of sugar?
He nuzzles again,
All I have is yours, says the man.
And strokes the roan’s nose.
