I was thrilled when David (The Skeptics Kaddish) agreed to collaborate with me once more to write our fourth tapestry poem. This time, David created the title. We then wrote our individual nine-lines and wove them together to make the tapestry poem, That Peace of Me.
David’s nine-line poem

In this time of war and endless fray
I seek that peace of me each day
But amid hatred's bitter gales
I've lost control of my ship's sails
In unrest's storm, I search in vain
For solace lost, for inner reign
Hope scarce endures, flickering light-
Could that peace of me reignite
While days are dark as darkest night?

My nine-line poem

Upon what hill did I leave it high and dry?
Or did it just leave me—and pass me by?
Whereby, where did I forego?
I do not know. I do not know.
I think you stole it way back when,
If you have it, send it home,
Then, you can have it back when I die.
Wherefore without it, I am not whole.
I am just a poor and restless soul.

I am proud to present to you our fourth tapestry poem.
That Peace of Me
by
David Bogomolny and Lesley Scoble

Could that peace of me reignite?
My hope scarce endures, flickering light;
Upon what hill did I leave it high and dry?
Perhaps you stole it way back when,
For solace lost, for inner reign…
Or did it just leave me—and pass me by?
I do not know. I do not know.
In unrest's storm, I search in vain;
Whereby, where did I forego?
In this time of war and endless fray,
I've lost control of my ship's sails.
I am just a poor and restless soul.
I seek that peace of me each day,
Amid hatred's bitter gales.
If you have it, send it home,
Wherefore without it, I am not whole.
Then, you can have it back when I die-
While days are dark as darkest night.
