by sadistic hands
contemplating...
VENGEANCE
ls:
floorboards creak as she sneaks-up,
dim gaslight shadows flicker
db:
scrolling through Netflix
my eyes flicK past horror flicKs
~ settle on thrillers ~
ml:
my fingers lock in place
the remote falls to the ground
preceding …blackness
ms:
I find myself unable.......
to. do. anything. but p a n i c
ls:
she brings the potion,
knocks softly at his closed door—
wintry wind whistles
db:
I spring as pills fall
triggering anxIeties
scatter e v e r y w h e r e
ml:
poison-dipped arrows stained
with blood from an old flame
ms:
I have no regrets
for my betrayal, I take
the money and RUN!
ls:
fruitless to escape,
the empty cup lies bitter—
supped of its revenge
db:
nearing life's final verses
~ I pen my jisei with grace
ml:
no! no ink
left in its reservoir --
a heart's last beat
