I am so happy to present to you, from the ‘three musketeers’, our 18th rengay, Happy Hour. I hope it’s as much fun to read as it was writing this collaborative poem. Enjoy!
(in order of appearance)
by
David Bogomolny (db), Lesley Scoble (ls), and Melissa Lemay (ml),

db: excited, a child
catches his little girlfriend
on the school playground
ls: tap on the back, “tag, you’re it!”
out of breath, she laughs he runs!
ml: "Cinderella dressed
in yellow" -- swoop! swoop!
swoop! goes a jump rope
db: across the street he watches
as recess comes to an end
ls: the school handbell tolls
he pulls his collar closer,
it is pick-up time
ml: the police officer
mans the crosswalk
