I wrote, Where Shadows Swim, in response to Colleen’s, Tanka Tuesday Poetry Challenge No. 16, Full Moon Magic. The prompt was to write a tanka puente using a quote, and I chose one attributed to Anton Chekov: “Don’t tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass.”

Lyrics by Lesley Scoble – Music / Singer by Suno.com

THANKS
I’m deeply grateful to Colleen Chesebro, for her beautiful prompt and kind encouragement.
And enormous thanks to you, the reader, for taking the time to read my poem.

      1. Thank you, Clive. It is extraordinary, isn’t it ‽ It delivered! I’m excited about the whole process. Can you imagine the difficulties of getting a singer, musicians, etc.? I think it’s a wonderful way to showcase embryo works. I was blown away by how it followed my brief and interpreted the poem. 🙏

Thanks Lesley. I too was blown away by the interpretation of your composition. And can see it has potential in many areas. I’m no musician but I’ll certainly give it a try with some of my haiku and see what it makes of them 🥰
