(Have been dancing too: loved classical ballet and flamengo most.)
This was written with the tap rhythm in your mind. Magnificent!!

How nice to say that about my artwork. Thank you 🙏 so much.
Might look into setting a page up, or something. ❤️
Feel free to print out the pic, Melissa, if you want. The only problem will be the resolution. I paint them so they can print to a high resolution.
Watch this space! I’m off to the art printers to make enquiries. 😊

      1. Now that will be a sight to behold!
I’ve never tap danced and I marvel at some of the greats I’ve seen on TV. They make it look so easy and always fun!

      2. ‘Tis some visitor,’ I muttered, ‘tapping at my chamber door-
        Only this, and nothing more.’

Now you’re talkin’! The Nicolas brothers are sublime! Thank you for the link. It’s donkeys years since I watched them.
The film Singing in the Rain was the film that made me want to dance.

      3. Every time I watch Gene Kelly, Astair, Donald O’Connor, Gregory Hines, etc., I get an immediate ear-to-ear smile. Oh, to have a scintilla of their talent! Alas, I’m old and feeble which is why I sit and write! 😁

  12. I love this poem, such delicious nonsense yet makes sense too. My mum was always saying she was going doolally tap, I think she got this expression from her dad who was in the army out in India before the First World War. I share your joy of tap dancing and still go every Tuesday to Harrow Art Centre, it keeps me young and we have lots of fun.

    1. Thanks Toni ❤️😊🙏
Just before Covid I hoped to join you at the class for some tap! Maybe someday I can?
It was an expression of my mother’s too. My father was in India during the war. xxx
