I wrote this short story for the short story, 250 words Unicorn Challenge and the #WritePhoto prompt.
I believe I may be too late for the #WritePhoto Challenge. I should like to thank them, however, for the photo that inspired my short story.

My story THERE WAS A KNOCKING AT MY DOOR is 248 words and so fits within the 250 word limit for the Unicorn Challenge.

Photo prompt for the Unicorn Challenge

My thanks to  Jenne Gray and  C. E. Ayr. for the photo prompting writing challenge.

  3. Mystery and suspense, Lesley. You take me right into the scene and I’m sitting here smiling in recognition of hotel managers and the ilk that I’ve met over the years. Nicely done.
