Under the Weeping Willow
Under the weeping willow
Fallen leaves drift and make
A floating carpet on the lake
Behold!
My eyes perceive
Autumn afloat
Like a boat
in the breeze
Adrift on the tide,
side by side
Shifting, sighing,
undulating slow.
Gold on the surface
and below.
