This week’s photo for Melissa’s Fandango Flash Fiction Challenge #254 inspired my poem I LOST MY MAKE-Up MIRROR.
![](https://lesleyscoble.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/img_6782.jpeg?w=427)
I lost my make-up mirror,
I didn’t know where it went,
Where’d it go?
I didn’t know,
I searched for it till my aging back was bent,
Then some time later,
(Some six months hence I think,)
I was going down the pub for a drink,
And then, what do you know?
Can you guess?
I bet you can’t!
I found it lying in the snow,
safe and sound,
on the ground,
beside a dried dead plant.

it’s crazy when that happens! I know someone who found the diamond from her engagement ring a week after it fell off her ring in a parking lot!

Wow! It is crazy, isn’t it? 😁
When they were children, Andrew’s brother lost a little toy car in the sands on a beach in Yorkshire. Three years later they returned on another holiday and he dug it up building a sand castle.

Reading brings further life to poetry. Now I have an accent, a tone, to “hear” when I read. You’re expressive and funny in reading. So I have that. I also really love hearing Björn read. The accent, of course, and his expressiveness.
