Whimsygizmo is our gracious host for the d’Verse Poets Quadrille #199 T.G.I.F. poetry prompt. The challenge is to write a poem of just 44 words relating to the word Friday. By coincidence, I walked down Friday Street some days ago.

Wahay! It’s Friday!
The end of the week,
Leave your desk—play hide and seek.
Love that Friday feeling,
Go Go-cart free wheeling,
Great fun, work is done,
Time to stop; sing Hip-Hop
Have a blast!
Sup a cool beer
Friday’s here,
At last!
