upon walking I
came across a cat with mange
approach with caution

db-
behind                            my computer chair
my back scratcher calls my name

ml-
I sniff and I sneeze
a high pollen count floating
through the hot, dry air

ls-
I long to get out
away from monotony
feel alive again

ms-
yowza,      ouch!      BIG fucking needle
makes for a    BIGGER fucking    hive  !

db-
pandemic
      lockdown      tedium…
                                                        shot      of hope

ml-
nasal spray and
allergy pills line the bathroom
cabinet

ls-
silence in the city streets
my anxiety is loud

ms-
Mary Jane Kelly, I did                  “It”
                        out of love of death
to suppress the voices within

db-
            upside down            cockroach
            lies in vanity drawer
                        near the razorblades
ml-
Benadryl lotion can’t stop
the dull aching of my heart

ls-
walking round the block
the same walk as yesterday
and the day before…
