Washing Instructions
*WARNING These washing instructions are not to be taken seriously.

To get jeans to fit,
Skin tight,
Go to the launderette,
And wash them on hot,
(While you’re still wearing them)
Go for a fast spin,
With a smile and a grin,
Then have a tumble in—
The dryer,
That’s daft,
(you think?)
Whatever you may think,
It’s the best way to shrink
your blue jeans.
You may come out bright pink,
But the best thing of all,
Is that your jeans will be
Small!

I wrote this poem (yes; I admit it!), Washing Instructions, in response to Melissa’s Fandango Flash Fiction Challenge #287. I hope you enjoy the poem and it persuades a slight lift to the corner of your mouth.
