  4. Aside from the ‘alarming’ wake up, I’d say you painted a scene of love and comfort.

    1. Thanks, Heather. 🙂🩷 I wonder if they could be two separate poems? 🤔

      1. No, that’s not what I meant at all. I think the entire scene speaks to so many, that initial, ugh I have to get up, but once up, it’s not so bad!

  7. I am at work, sneaking on wordpress, and I clicked your sound button and scared myself half to death with your celebration horn. I love this poem. The routine normalcy of the day and the beauty within the ordinary things. Lovely. Is normaLCY SPELLED WRONG OR NOT A WORD? Ignore the caps lock, I am a mess at work today. I need to get off of wordpress and start getting stuff done.

  10. This was such a great fun read, Lesley! I felt like I was there, dodging a wildly tossed alarm clock! 😳 ⏰ 😂

    Congratulations! 🥳 👏🏼

    1. Haha! I’m glad I didn’t hit you with the clock if you were there! 🤣 Story is based on fact. I always hated those loud tick ticking clocks. ⏰ ‘Twas a cruel, harsh way to be awakened. 😂

  15. A gorgeous, fun, relatable verse, dear POW! ❤️ I am glad I did not read this before writing to your prompt or I would have scrapped mine!

I bow to you! ( Why, o why, don’t they have a curtsying emoji)

    1. Dearest Punam!! You do yourself an injustice! I Mornings! is a brilliant poem. I’m very glad you didn’t commit the crime of scrapping it! And yes! Why isn’t there a curtsy emoji? Nevertheless, I accept bow emojis quite happily 🤣🤣🤣
