SPRING
Something is so special about the spring,
Positively special,
Really, here’s the thing—
In the spring, all renew—to come alive,
New growth, and everything
Generates anew. High five!
SUMMER
Some summer’s can be hot,
Unbelievably hot!
Melting ice-cream, burnt skin hot,
Molten heat, in the street hot
Every day a clear blue sky… blue sky
Running with sweat and land bone dry Hot!
AUTUMN

Around this windy time of year,
‘Undreds of leaves fall to the ground.
Trees shrug off their clothes in blustery air—
Until, under their denuded boughs, leaves lie,
Moulted into a magnificent golden rug.
Nature shows rare beauty, when her leaves do die.
WINTER
Woolly socks and a woolly scarf,
Itchy tickles can make you laugh,
Nice warm tea and crumpet by the fire,
Thermal underwear is warm attire,
Especially needed in frost, ice, and snow
Roll-neck sweaters are nice, you know.

- Theme: The changing seasons;
- Form: Acrostic (the first letters of each line in each stanza spell out a given word);
o Four stanzas:
§ One stanza for each of the four seasons – ‘autumn’, ‘winter’, ‘spring’, ‘summer’ (in any order);
§ If you prefer to refer to any of the four seasons by other names, you may use those names in your poem instead.
