  2. Oh, the sadness!😭 Fun fact: up until
    “My tail between my legs,” I was reading it as if it was the person speaking. And the dog lost them.🤣

  6. This is so, so sad. Your line breaks enhance the dogs growing disbelief that he cannot find his people. I thought the first stanza was from the perspective of the human and then it switched to the dog, but I realize it is all the dog’s perspective and that he was most likely abandoned.

  7. This poem made me feel so sad. It made me think of Kelly, my Kelpie dog. She is nearly all black but has white eyebrows as she is 15 years old.
