  1. Great Bussokuseki Lesley, with your layout mirroring your words. I love how this conveys the power of the mind. I am left with thinking, oh yes, of course… we can let our dreams and imagination bring to us what we need, we can’t all be near nature but we can bring yutori to us … ❤️so pleased you showed this angle, and another great artwork – thank you 💞

  2. Oh, I love this, Lesley. I would want to fly like a bird if I was squished on a train too! What a great way to connect to yuturi!

  5. Nice job on capturing Yutori within the crowd. I really liked how the words are set on the page to capture the setting and mood. Brings back memories of city living.

      1. Haha…no there is something about using transit that makes you feel connected to something more than just your own little world…

      2. You’re right. my mind often needs to wander… as an escape. 😁 I love train travel, but loathe crowds.

  7. Best way to spend the time. Best thing to do in a crowded train. If you must commute why not do it with an accepting heart. I like this very much. Blessings. Hope you’re well. Happy New Year. Xoxo

  16. This Bussokuseki poem is a vivid portrayal of the daily grind, Lesley! The imagery of dreaming of flying like a bird contrasts perfectly with the cramped space, giving the poem a sense of longing for space and “elbowroom.” Nice work!
