Gylbert, The Hairy Fairy | Digital ink and watercolour©️Lesley Scoble
Once upon a time,
In the forest of Ninglenook,
the Ningle fairies lived
in freedom and in style~
Gently turn the pages of this book
to learn about an unusual hairy fairy.
Are you sitting comfortably?
It might take a while.

  1. I hope you DO post the rest! What a delightful tale and a wonderful character, Gylbert.

I think the reason that I love poetry is from hearing and reading all the children’s books filled with this kind of storytelling. This is awesome!

  5. I’m glad Gylbert bought a dishwasher. A fairy sized one, I presume.

    1. Dishwashers in the Ninglenook forest are very rare. They are Goblin slaves that sit in a corner and enjoy washing dishes.

      1. Well, I suppose if they enjoy it… a little unsure about fairy human trafficking / slave trade.

      2. You’re right- fairies are good and won’t tolerate slavery. Gylbert might prefer to part exchange the goblin washer upper for a mechanical one…
Thanks for helping with the brainstorming 😁🤗 Melissa xx
