  2. You’ve brought out the romance of each season, well except for maybe winter’s claw. I loved this poem.

    1. 🩷Thank you so much—and thank for your feedback, Heather. I originally wrote, ‘and wait for blasts of winter on my casement once again.’
Hmm, I’m now pondering upon the line…xxx Choices, choices, choices! 🙄

      1. Personally, I like the claw. It contrasts well with the other seasons descriptions. Winter can be tough, it doesn’t always have the gentleness of the other seasons and describing it like a claw gives that sense.

  4. The poem is a meditation on impermanence and harmony in change. The speaker does not seek to escape winter or cling to summer, but rather to inhabit each season with full awareness of its transience. The window, as a silent witness, symbolizes the attentive gaze that finds peace in the eternal return of nature. In the end, life reveals itself as a cycle of dreams and expectations, where each season—and each emotion—has its necessary place.

  7. Lesley, your seasonal turns are gentle yet vivid, and starting and ending with “again” wraps it in a wistful, almost musical rhythm. Lovely!
