Down the Local: a tanka adventure

Sneaky seagull spies
pint abandoned, chips exposed
pub raid number ten
scrums for crumbs, squalling wingbeats—
scavenging flock in full flight

        I’m looking forward to it! A long time ago on a different platform, a poet did a whole series of NPM poems based on goats!

        NPM = National Poetry Month! It was a fun exercise. If the theme was love – it was goats in love, if they had to use specific words they were used in a poem about goats. Even the forms were done with a goat motif! He really had fun with it!
