I wrote my poem Posh Boy in response to Melissa’s Fandango Flash Fiction Challenge #348. The challenge invites us to create either flash fiction or poetry inspired by the photo prompt. I hope you enjoy both my poem—and its song adaptation!

  1. A poem that clearly conveys the tension between a child’s curiosity and desires and the rigid rules of adults. Highly visual and easy to feel: hunger and impatience versus etiquette.

    1. Thanks, AJ 🤗. It took me a while to persuade Suno to use a child’s voice! Style prompts really are an art, aren’t they? Getting the hang of it takes time—we should write a “How To” manual 😁.
