If it flies o’er the moor
Instead of town houses
Shooters of grouses
Kill it outright
(they’re not supposed to, but they still do it)
They kill it
in flight
As it soars in the sky
They don’t want it to fly
They don’t want it to dance
They want it to die
It hasn’t a chance
Out of all the UK’s birds of prey the Hen Harrier is the most persecuted.
The driven grouse moors of the UK, particularly across England and Scotland, are driving the Hen Harrier to extinction.
