Cliff Hanger: a waltz wave poem

This weekโ€™s # Whatdoyousee image is of a woman in a precarious predicament on a steep slope. The prompt is to write an original story, poem or a caption, inspired by this image.

My response to Sadjeโ€™s #WDYS prompt is to write a waltz wave poem. I think this poetic format lends itself to slippingโ€ฆ falling down a cliff.

Save
me! save
me
from the
slippery
slope! Iโ€™m
slide-
-ing down
this peril-
-ous cliff! If you
help me I
can live ~
If
you donโ€™t
there is no
hope ~ and
Iโ€™ll
drop and
Die and
Then
youโ€™ll cry,
Oh,
oh no!
I let her
go! so
Take
my hand
and lift me
from the prec-
-ipitous
edge of
deathโ€™s
abyss ~
haul me to
a ledge
please
or Iโ€™ll
faโ€ฆ
