It was only after writing my poem Daydreamer did my thoughts venture back to Lockdown in the year 2020. To that strange time when we stood on our balconies or on the streets to applaud the key workers every Thursday evening. To cheer the frontline of the pandemic where there was no time to daydream.

Perhaps my poem is a memory from then?

  3. Great lento and portrait! There was clearly no time for daydreaming for those key workers. Most of the rest of us had nothing else to do but daydream. ❤️

  7. I worked freelance for the majority of my career…I was so much more productive at home than in the office. Daydreams are a necessity for proper work!

I think we are all still processing that strange time. I know I am. I’m sure for the doctors and nurses who were on the front lines it is even more vivid. wonderful painting. (K)
