The prompt for this week’s Melissa’s Fandango Flash Fiction Challenge #247 is to write a flash fiction piece, or a poem inspired by the image. There are no style or word limits.
I am glad there are no word limits, because I have flu/covid/cold. A quick limerick is all I can manage as I sit, mopping my fevered brow, demolishing boxes of paper tissues and downing sore throat potions.
Seasons Greetings from THE HAPPY REINDEER. Enjoy!
The Happy Reindeer

There is a happy reindeer with a sleigh,
She pulls it and pulls it all day. Wahay!
She loves the cold snow,
And what do you know!
Her name is not Rudolf but, Faye, okay?
Lesley Scoble, December 2023
Did you know…
Santa’s reindeers are female. Male reindeers lose their antlers in the winter at the end of the mating season.
The females keep a thin antler. Therefore, Rudolf is not Rudolf but Faye. Okay?
