I wrote my poem FREE YOUR MIND in response to the #Whatdoyousee Photo Poetry Prompt.

Confused Thought
Caught
Coiled round tight,
In unkind turmoil
Entwined
in the conflicts
of the mind.
It’s hard to explain,
What goes on inside my brain,
Going round and round in my head,
Let it be said,
All this thinking isn’t good,
I’d stop right now if I could.
Coax, cajole the fears,
Consumed by thinking dreadful dread,
And think of nothing at all instead.
Time to set free your mind,
From life’s knocks,
undo the locks,
release your soul,
from the computer console
Be kind and free your mind.
