  3. This definitely resonates. I remember the feeling but not the name. This beginning made me smile.

The daffodil poem I love the most
    Is that one where
There are a golden host of them,
    A lot
    Dancing under lonely clouds.

  9. Your poem made me smile, Lesley. I often forget which poet belongs to a poem, even the most famous ones, like Wordsworth’s daffodils. I remember watching The Rowan and Martin Laugh-In when I was a teenager, and laughing at the little guy who recited a poem called ‘The Daffodil’ and never got the chance to finish. I’ve been marvelling at the golden hosts in our village.

  10. I was going to say wordsworth, but does it really matter when the real daffodils are there… I love what you wrote.

They are the most beautiful flowers. I filmed these ones in Kensington Gardens, London. They were dancing!

  11. Fun poem…..using an iconic line from William Wordsworth’s poem….one of my most favorite! In college, at the college sing competition, the chorus I was in sang this poem put to music in a choral rendition. Although our voices weren’t the greatest, it was still beautiful because of the words.

  15. Apparently it was Wordsworth, consensus says. I was going to say that I doubted it was Poe.😅
