A Host of Golden Daffodils?
The daffodil poem I love the most
Is that one where
There are a golden host of them,
A lot
Dancing under lonely clouds.
Byron, Keats… or?
Blow it!
I forgot.
Was it Shakespeare, Milton, or…
Poe?
T. S Elliot, or…
What?
It’s unlikely, I know…
But I think not.
I wander like a lonely cloud…
and wonder still,
(For crying out loud!)
Who wrote that poem?
Was it Phil?

My thanks to William Wordsworth for writing his beautiful poem. I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud in which he wrote in the first stanza “A host, of golden daffodils;” Read Wordsworth’s full poem here.
