I wrote my poem, A Bourgeois Conversation, for Reena’s Xploration Challenge #331. Where we are invited to mull over the word Bourgeoisie.
A Bourgeois Conversation

Francois, you are so bourgeois,
Je ne suis pas,
You are, Francois!
You are!
You only speak French because you think it’s posh,
Speaking Français is so passé,
Not if you’re French, it’s not.
Whatever you say, it’s tosh!
Francois, you are bourgeois.
Je ne suis pas.
When you drink tea you stick your little finger out,
What’s wrong with that? Said Francois with a pout.
It’s bourgeois, Francois!
Its so middle class,
Would you like more tea?
Non, stick it up your…
Francois looks at me.
Er, mais non.
I think je will pass.
