I wrote my poem, Free, to the W3 Prompt #135. The poet of the week, Sarah Whiley, devised the prompt. Sarah invites us to write a Dectina Refrain on the theme of Free (or any variation of this word).
The Dectina Refrain
Dectina Refrain
Ten lines;
Syllabic: 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/10;
The tenth line is comprised of the first four lines all together, as one stand-alone line in quotation marks. (Quotation marks are optional.)
This form was invented by South African poet, Marion Friedenthal and named ‘Dectina Refrain’ by the English poet, Luke Prater.

let me go
release my chains
wander where I will
walk down dales, then uphill—
on vast plains and high mountains
follow horizons, or stand still;
in sunshine, through rains, wild winds, and snow,
