Much | Lyrics & Sound-weave©️Lesley Scoble

In response to Whimsygizmo’s prompt for dVerse Poets’ #231: Making Much of Poems—to craft a quadrille (exactly 44 words) featuring the word much—I wrote my poem Much.

In response to Whimsygizmo’s prompt for the d’Verse Poets’ #231: Making Much of Poems, to write a quadrille poem (of just 44 words) to include the word Much, I wrote my poem Much.

Thank you very much, Whimsygizmo, for the inspiration.

And thank you very much, dear reader, for reading and listening.

  3. Love the tone of voice in this, so playful, I can see this play out between two old friends at a bar somewhere.

  4. Lesley, how do you set your lyrics to music? Is it a program/app?

    1. Yes, Li. I use suno.com and edit in Bandlab.

      1. Thanks so much, Lesley 🙂 I just created my first song. Have bookmarked the page and will try to get back to create more songs. Amazing how easily it is done. I’m not a big fan of AI, but it’s like playing with a new toy with the music. I’m guessing they share copyright or whatever it is called for music on it?

      2. Wahoo! That’s brilliant1 I can’t wait to see what you come up with.
Tip: if you want to own your creations you might want to subscribe. it’s an annual subscription. I paid it because it means you retain the copyright of your song and the commercial rights. I have so much fun creating the songs. It also helps to hear your words (I’ve changed some of my poems because it helps and enables me to see where there are flaws in the rhythm). I agree with you—it is a wonderful toy. I also enjoy the editing—if something isn’t quite what I want… I download separate instruments and play around with them. It’s like having your own orchestra and you are the conductor. Years ago I wrote a musical and it cost a fortune to get the music that we can now get with AI with a few Style tags and cues in a click.
I’m excited for you. If you enjoy it half as much as I do—you will have a ball 🎶❤️

      3. Lesley, thanks for the detailed comment. It’s very helpful. Am I understanding that if I don’t sign up for a paid subscription that the website owns the copyright to my song? Right now I don’t plan on getting into songwriting like you are doing (maybe in the next lifetime!) Would you recommend I delete the song if I don’t plan on pay subscribing? My worse nightmare would be spotify putting it out there and it becoming a hit and they earn the $$.

      4. You still own the copyright to your words—but always worth checking. Ange / Poetisatinta produces beautiful songs. You can follow her on Suno. She’ll know. I did quite a few songs on the free plan. I just wanted the commercial rights to the music—because I want to do some animations on YouTube. You own your words on the free plan but don’t have commercial rights for the music. Stick with the Free plan (they can’t steal your words). And I want to hear your songs! xxx
