Bronze Sculpture

The Benguin

My youngest son Benny’s birthday was coming up. One of his favourite animals is the penguin. I made a one off piece especially for him. It is called The Benguin.

CERAMIC SCULPTURE

I learnt ceramics at The New City Academy, Hackney. The course set me on a road towards making sculptures when I won the Ceramic Award at The V&A Inspired by… Exhibition with my first piece.

Walking in the Rain

Walking in the Rain was made in white clay with an oxide glaze.

My first ever ceramic sculpture exhibited in the winners cabinet of the V&A Inspired by competition

BRONZE RESIN

Lockdown Self-isolation Self-portrait

My ‘Lockdown Self-portrait’ is how I felt throughout lockdown. I am confined inside, hands placed against the pane. An unheard scream in claustrophobic captivity.

What is being said about Lockdown sculpture…

Audi Blankenship – USA

“ wandered through your site…enjoyed it. The sculpture captured in a glass was both creative and frightening.”

“It was a weird feeling seeing the look of desperation of the women’s face . Trapped  in a  glass cage. Reminded me of the desperation of the inner person trying to get out of the traps this life dishes out. Remarkable!!”

Laura Smart – Spain

“The new Scream. There should be one in every living room.“

Carla Kovac – UK

“Brilliant!”

Pamela Pardoe – UK

Awesome!👏”
