  2. It’s a way of spending money, Lesley. I can’t see any other valid reason…

    1. Valid point, Björn.
I fear the poem could be a lot longer than it is.

  6. A simple question with a complex answer, but one that can’t be repeated enough. Too many are ready to rush into it.

  7. Sadly, a question that is repeated throughout the ages, and the innocents pay the price. Your poem clearly illustrates the message and the abstract art is very fitting.

  8. Great questions. I can be a bit sardonic about this.

WWI was to end all wars. WWII was its epilogue. Korea was to save Korea. Viet Nam was much more than we will ever know, but a war to save Viet Nam from itself.

It is so ironic, isn’t it, how we do war to achieve peace.

How’s that been working for us? :-)

    2. Yes, why do we need war to achieve peace, indeed! Those initiator leaders are mostly men. Replace them with compassionate women leaders!

  10. The repetition of an unanswerable question is what really grabs me with this piece, Lesley. Well done.
