In response to this week’s photo prompt from Melissa’s Fandango Flash Fiction Challenge #335, I created a poem titled Nyx Emberline on an Alien Rampage, along with a digital oil painting of her. I’ve also composed a cyberpunk song—feel free to go wild and dance! My latest hit single awaits you at the bottom of the poem.

Heartfelt thanks to Melissa Lemay for your inspiring prompt, and to  Nick Fancher on Unsplash for the striking photo that sparked my poem, painting, and song.
And to you—reader, listener, fellow wanderer—thank you for stopping by, and for spending time with my post, whether reading, listening, or both.

    1. Haha! Thanks, Maggie. I’ll take ‘different’ as a compliment. 😁 I’m catching Shakespeare up—he only invented 1,000 new words. 😂

  6. I love the song! Haha that’s great. In your poem I especially like this stanza:

    Her shocking pink hair flies
    in the face of
    derision—
    a fusion of vision,
    and fireflies’
    suspicion.

And of course your sound effects. Szzzziiizzz.
